College's student-run multimedia website, Viking Fusion, recently won a College
Broadcasters Inc. National Student Production Award.
Episode Five of
Viking Fusion's series "Going Up" was named "Best General Entertainment
Program." Episode Four of the series was also a finalist in the "Best Vodcast"
category. "Going Up" is a drama about two people meeting in an elevator that
leads to a desperate situation. The series was co-created by Glenn
Garrido-Olivar, production supervisor for Viking Fusion and a junior
Communication major from Rome, Ga., and Berry alumnus Nathan Sutton.

process. And I'm glad that it paid off."
"Going Up - Episode Five" won
out over competition from the University of South Carolina, the University of
Wisconsin-Oshkosh, and Savannah College of Art & Design. In addition to
"Going Up - Episode Four," Viking Fusion's music video, "Roll Call", was a
finalist in the "Best Vodcast" category.
"I think it's amazing that our
small studio won against larger schools," said Michael Baldvins, executive
director for Viking Fusion and a senior communication major from Grayson, Ga.
"It really reflects on the talent that is fostered here."
Student Production Awards were presented at a ceremony during the National
Student Electronic Media Convention. College Broadcasters Inc. represents
students involved in electronic media, such as radio, television, webcasting and
other related media ventures.
"This award reflects the fact that our
students have worked hard to use the highest quality production standards they
have been taught," said Bob Frank, associate professor and chair of Berry's
Department of Communication. "Their tireless work has paid off once again."
