Berry students enjoyed a weekend of Vegas fun with the recent Black Light Dance and Casino Night.

“Casino night as a whole was absolutely fantastic as always and the live music was really good and a lot of fun,” said Anastasia Kolousek, a biology major from Franklin, N.C.

The festivities kicked off Friday night with Richards Gym decked out to resemble a Las Vegas club, complete with pounding bass and black lights. More than 350 students danced the night away.

On Saturday night, students dressed in their best enjoyed a fun-filled night of playing casino games such as craps, roulette, blackjack and poker. Students played bingo in the student center and mock ceremonies were performed at an Elvis-themed wedding chapel. A live student band an auction, photo booth and hypnotist completed the Vegas experience.

Amy Funk , a senior psychology major and Krannert Center Activities Board (KCAB) president said this year’s changes to Casino Night helped make it a great success.

“Casino Night was amazing,” said Funk, “We had our highest attendance yet at approximately 1,000 people. This is KCAB's biggest event of the spring semester, and so we are thrilled that it was so successful.”
