Please read our Decision Berry FAQs:
Q: Who can come to this event?
A: Decision Berry is designed for high school seniors or transfer students (and their parents) who have been offered admission to Berry for Fall 2015.
Q: What will students do at Decision Berry?
A: You will get to attend your choice of interactive sessions on residence life, student activities, academics, and student work opportunities - all from the perspective of current Berry students. We're also planning for a selection of outdoor adventure options that are uniquely Berry - you may go on a hike on our mountain campus or receive a behind-the-scenes look at some of our many outdoor recreational opportunities. If you're not into the great outdoors, we'll have other options to choose from, like touring our residence halls and academic buildings for one final look at where you'll spend your next four years. Your adventure is up to you! View 2015 Decision Berry Schedule.
Q: What will my parents do?
A: Your parents will get to choose from student-led sessions on residence life and student activities, academics, and student work opportunities. We'll also have a financial aid presentation and some other fun options just for them.
Q: What should I bring with me?
A: If you plan to participate in the student outdoor adventure activities, you will need to bring a signed copy of the required Decision Berry release form*. If you will be under 18 years of age on April 11, your parent/guardian will need to sign for you. You may also wish to bring hiking boots/athletic shoes, athletic wear, water bottle, camera, and any medications you may be taking.
Q: I have friends or siblings who would like to attend with me. What should we do?
A: If your friends or siblings are also students who have been offered admission to Berry for Fall 2015, we'd like for them to register for the event separately so that we can be prepared with personalized information when they check in. If your friends or siblings are prospective students who have not yet applied or been admitted to Berry, they are welcome to accompany you or your parents for the day and do not need to register separately. However, please note that because this day is designed for admitted students, there will be no specific programming for prospective students. Any high school or college-aged guests who wish to participate in the student outdoor adventure activities with you will also need to bring a signed copy of the required Decision Berry release form.
Q: I’ve already been to Berry for an individual visit, Discover Berry or Firsthand Friday. How is this different?
A: Decision Berry is designed by current students to give you the information you need most in finding the best college fit for you. Each information session will be presented by students, and you'll have plenty of options to explore the campus so you can see what you want to see.
Q: I’d like to take one last look at the dorms, dining hall and classrooms. Will I be able to do that?
A: Absolutely! You'll have several options to check out these spaces.
Q: What if I need to talk to someone about my financial aid?
A: Admissions and Financial Aid staff will be available throughout the day to answer any questions you may have about the financial aid process or your award.
Q: I can't visit on the Decision Berry date, but I still need help finalizing my college decision. What are my other options?
A: If you can't come to Decision Berry, we would encourage you to schedule an individual campus visit with the office of admissions. We can arrange classroom observations, meetings, or even an overnight stay with a current student to help you get the information you need to make your college choice. You can schedule an individual visit by
Q: I’ve applied to Berry, but I haven’t been accepted yet. Can I still come?
A: Decision Berry is designed for students who have been offered admission for Fall 2015. If you haven't been offered admission yet, please consider coming for an individual campus visit.
Q: I haven't started the application process yet. Can I still come?
A: The Discover Berry program would better serve students who are beginning their college search and/or have not yet begun the application process.
