Transient Information

Students wishing to take course work on a transient basis at another accredited institution must obtain prior written permission from their advisor and the registrar at Berry. Without this permission, credit may be denied. To request permission to study as a transient student, come by the registrar's office in Hermann Hall, room 236 and pick up the form "Request to Study As a Transient Student" (or use the printable transient study permission form on this website). Complete the form and have your advisor sign it. Be sure to include how you want to use the course at Berry.  Return the completed form to the registrar's office. Be sure to include a copy of the course description from the host institution.  It will then be evaluated and permission will be granted or denied. Berry will then send a letter to the host college where you are wishing to take classes and you will receive a copy. This letter will tell you for what course the class transfers to Berry and the credit hours it is worth. Please remember to apply well in advance of the date that you need the approval letter. For more information, see the "Study at Another Institution" section, page 43,  in the Berry Catalog.
