 Berry Named “College of Distinction”
(November 14, 2008) Berry College is one of only six colleges in Georgia featured in the newly-released 2008-09 edition of “Colleges of Distinction,” published by Student Horizons Inc. Unlike traditional numeric-based college guidebooks, this publication appeals to students’ unique interests – recognizing that “the best” college for one student may be vastly different from what is best for another.

 BCTC Presents “Eclipsed”
(November 14, 2008) The Berry College Theatre Company will present “Eclipsed,” a doleful tale of unmarried mothers separated from their children and condemned to slavery in convent-run laundries, Nov. 18-23 in the E.H. Young Theatre. Show times are 8 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday. Tickets are $5 opening night and $7 for all other performances. Call 706-236-2263 for more information.

Oxbridge Lecture Series Welcomes Former Georgia Chief Justice
(November 11, 2008) Norman Fletcher, former chief justice of the Georgia Supreme Court and an attorney with Brinson, Askew, Berry, Siegler, Richardson and Davis in Rome, will discuss "The First Under Fire: Contemporary Challenges to the First Amendment," at 7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 13, in the Berry College Science Auditorium. Admission is free and open to the public.

Jean-Robert Cadet to Discuss Child Slavery in Haiti
(November 11, 2008) Jean-Robert Cadet, a former child slave in Haiti, will visit Berry College on Wednesday, Nov. 12, for a discussion on modern-day slavery and what can be done to fight it. His presentation is scheduled for 7 p.m. in the science auditorium; admission is free and open to the public.

Berry Welcomes President of National Peace Corps Association
(November 7, 2008) Berry College will welcome Woodrow Wilson Visiting Fellow Dr. Kevin Quigley to campus Nov. 10-14. Dr. Quigley, president and CEO of the National Peace Corps Association, will visit numerous classes and engage students and faculty both formally and informally. His presentations will include “Asia: Political Economy from the Perspective of the President-Elect,” scheduled for 2 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 12, in Green Hall. Admission is free and open to the public.

Deer Hunts Scheduled for Berry College WMA
(November 4, 2008) There are two scheduled firearm deer hunts on the Berry College Wildlife Management Area for this year. The dates for these hunts are Nov. 5-8 and Dec. 3-6.
