Getting Started:
Please complete the library's faculty/staff registration form at your earliest convenience and return it to the Circulation Desk at the library, or send via campus mail to Vivienne Durbin, Circulation/Reserves Assistant for Public Services.
Your faculty/staff ID card also serves as your library card, and is needed for all checkouts. This includes situations in which your student assistant picks up the materials for you.
Circulation Loan Periods for Faculty:
A faculty or staff member may borrow circulating books from the college library for the academic year, with a due date on or near April 15th , depending on the closing date of the semester. The loan period for circulating media is three weeks. Materials are subject to earlier recall if needed by another faculty member or by a student. Materials are subject to immediate recall if needed for Reserves.
If you need special loan arrangements for non-circulating materials such as reference books, bound periodicals, or special format materials, please ask for a librarian.
One renewal is allowed for each item. You will periodically receive a courtesy notice which lists items you have checked out that are due for return or renewal. You may review your items online at any time by logging on to your account at http://boysen.berry.edu. Renewal requests are also accepted by phone (ext. 1739), by e-mail (vdurbin@berry.edu) or via return of the courtesy notice with appropriate notes regarding which items are to be renewed.
Fines/Fees for Overdue and Lost Books for Faculty and Staff:
Faculty and staff are not fined for overdue materials. You will be billed, however, for any materials charged to your account which are unrecoverable and have been declared lost by the library after a reasonable length of time. Any unpaid charges may be deducted from your individual account.
