Ivan Heredia's 14th minute goal stood up as the match-winner as No. 6-seed Lee won the Southern States Athletic Conference Tournament 1-0 over No. 4-seed Berry Sat. at Ford Field. Berry finishes the season 12-6-1, while Lee advances to the NAIA National Tournament with a 9-9-2 record.

Meghan Francis from Berry was named the 2008 Southern States Athletic Conference Volleyball Player of the Year and Shawn Carroll was named SSAC Libero of the Year on Wed. at the coference banquet. They were two of the four Lady Vikings named to the All-Conference first-team. Berry also advanced 3-0 over Brewton Parker in the first round of the SSAC Tournament.
