Institutional Financial Aid Resources
Academic - The Office of Admissions awards all academic scholarships. Academic scholarships are awarded only to entering Freshmen or Transfer Students based on test scores and high school GPA or college GPA for transfer students. Applicants should contact the Office of Admissions for details.
Athletic - Berry College offers Athletic Scholarships for men in the following sports: Basketball, Soccer, Baseball, Tennis, Cross Country, and Golf; and for women in: Basketball, Soccer, Tennis, Cross Country, and Volleyball. Contact the coach in your respective sport.
Music and Theater - Scholarships are offered based on talent and interest in these areas. Prospective students should contact the appropriate school Dean for further information.
Departmental Scholarships - Some areas of study offer scholarships based on interest and past performance in those areas. These scholarships are usually awarded at the Junior or Senior level. Need Based Scholarships - Berry College offers a number of Scholarships based on Financial need after the Student has been considered for all other grants, loans and work. Students must complete all of the financial forms to be considered.
Student Work - The College encourages all students to gain work experience while at Berry College. Most students choose to work on campus and others take advantage of off-campus work opportunities. Students who choose to work on campus are encouraged to work at least ten hours per week in one or more of over 120 types of positions on campus. Bonner Scholars Program - Established by The Corella and Bertram F. Bonner Foundation of Princeton, NJ, this program supports students at 25 institutions around the country. In an attempt to integrate community service into the college experience, the Bonner Scholars Program provides a service alternative to replace the job component of a financial aid package. Bonner Scholars are selected based on financial need and interest in community service and receive a stipend through direct grants, stipends, and expense money. While in the Program, Bonner Scholars are expected to be active in service during the academic year and summers, participate in educational enrichment activities. The WinShape Centre Scholarship Program - was created by S. Truett Cathy, Founder and CEO of Chick-fil-A, Inc., for the purpose of "Shaping Individuals to be Winners." Approximately 125 students are in the program. They attend classes at Berry College, and are Berry students first and foremost. WinShape students receive a $32,000 tuition scholarship ($8,000/year), half paid by Berry and half by Chick-fil-A.
